What is the name for a handheld engineers magnifying glass?

Hi,
I know this may sound vague, but I wish to find a type of magnifying glass. It’s like a handheld one: with a vertical handle, it has quite a small lens and has little torch to illuminate the object being seen. I’ve seen them before at an aerospace engineering factory, where technicians used them for inspecting the surfaces of metal components. If you can decipher this description and give me a name, it would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Is my MAC brush fake?

Is my MAC brush fake?

I checked some online tutorials for spotting fake MAC brushes and mine seemed to be real.

But on the clear plastic sleeve it has the barcode.

But to the LEFT of the barcode, there’s a white sticker that has korean/chinese writing on it?

And to the RIGHT of the barcode, it has writing that says:
MADE IN U.S.A. (in bold)
DIST. BY PAR MAKE-UP ART COSMETICS
TORONTO ONTARIO
CANADA M5V 1R7
LONDON W1K 3B0 (this last line was underlined)

Help, i bought this off someone in a facetrade (in Toronto) and the brush seems real, but the white sticker with the Korean writing and the additional writing beside the barcode makes it look fake?

Is it suppose to have more than JUST the barcode on the plastic sleeve?

Is my brush fake?
*end of the brush
My brush is the MAC 209 eyeliner brush.
It has “MAC 209″ in silver on the handle and “USA” printed at the end of the brown in black.

It has a slight shimmer under the light and i don’t see any faults in it.

Where can I find a roll holder/mount of roll for a thermal printer?

Where can I find a roll holder/mount of roll for a thermal printer?

I’m looking for a mount of roll (a.k.a roll holder) for ribbon tape in a thermal printer.
It should be for a label cutter/thermal printer.
Description:
*Should gradually get smaller (sort of like a triangle shape)
*Holds up the ribbon tape which is mounted on it like toilet paper.

Thank you so much!

What is your opinion on the recent use of RFID trackers in school systems?

What is your opinion on the recent use of RFID trackers in school systems?

I think it’s a horrible idea. RFID chips on school uniforms is incredibly invasive, and it is very easily foiled to boot. I am a student myself and I would take this to be a serious insult on my maturity and judgement.

What are they going to do next, install microphone surveillance bugs on our foreheads? Maybe they should put security cameras in the shower rooms while they’re at it!

I swear, privacy is going straight down the toilet in our society.

Can somebody write me some pseudo-code for a 2D array Java Nim Project?

Can somebody write me some pseudo-code for a 2D array Java Nim Project?

“Project: Create the true game of Nim using a 2D array. The array should be 3×7. Initialize the appropriate cells to house stones and let users play the actual game. Here are the rules: On a players turn, they choose a row and can take as a many stones as they want, as long as the stones are adjacent(I cannot take the first and last stones), they cannot take multiple stones from different rows, and the last person to take a stone is the loser.” Can somebody give me steps in pseudocode or maybe even some “excerpts” from a program they have? Thanks.

re-using an ebay shipping box?

i bought something on ebay, and the girl shipped it to me in an ebay shipping box. there’s a barcode on the bottom and underneath it says “EBAY BOX 7″. so now i’ve just sold something on ebay and it fits the box perfectly. i don’t know if i can re-use that box, though. it’s a USPS priority mail box, and i’m definitely sending it priority mail. does anyone know if this is somehow illegal or something? lol

How do CD keys work?

February 15th, 2011 at 08:56am Under Forum

How do CD keys work?

If CD keys are validated on the server side, like battle.net, does that mean the server has a list of all valid keys, including all the games not sold yet, still sitting on store shelves? If that’s true, wouldn’t it be possible to keygen a valid key of an unsold item? Or are CD keys not added to the battle.net lists until the item is sold? If that’s the case, how does battle.net know what the CD key is merely from the barcode?
