Just go to your Android Marketplace and look at the free apps. Android has a lot of free things. :)
I’m not sure exactly because I have an iPhone, but some of the apps I got for it were like “FML” or “Facebook” or “Google Earth”. The list goes on…and on…and on…

Just look at the free ones. (:

There are lots of great Android applications out there, and most of them are still free!

Here are some of my favorites:

ShopSavvy: A barcode scanner that compares prices on items online and in nearby stores.

Grocery IQ: Compile a grocery and shopping list by scanning barcodes of items before you toss them out or search by name. Will sort by aisle in your store, too.

Handcent: A much nicer text messaging app than the standard one that came on the phone.

Shazam or Soundhound: Both of these programs will listen to 15 seconds of music in the environment and tell you the name of the song and artist and the CD it came from.

Aldiko Book Reader: get tons of free books on your phone

Pandora or Slacker: Streaming internet radio apps.

Ringdroid: Make your own ringtones from music on your phone.

Calorie Counter: Great app for looking up the nutritional info for food you eat and tracking what you ate for the day

Key Ring: Scan your loyalty cards for different stores and then going forward you just let the cashier scan your phone screen! You never have to carry a loyalty card again!

My Tracks: Great for runners, walkers, etc.

MotoTorch: Turns the camera flash on your phone into a flashlight. You wouldn’t believe how many times that comes in handy!

Movies: get current showtimes, watch trailers, read reviews, buy tickets

    Weatherbug: awesome weather app

    Tweetdeck: Very good twitter client

Google Listen: very good podcast app

There are literally tens of thousands of apps out there. Just run a few searches on Best Android Apps and you’ll find lots of ideas!
