I won a trip & it’s just an email that looks like it could be typed up in Word. Has the plane fees, taxes, etc and all the flight #’s, times, etc on it and that it was paid for by the agency.

It just says print out the email & that’s good enough. I guess I was expecting something like a pdf file with a barcode, etc on it. Is this standard for flying nowadays cuz I haven’t flown for 6 years?
thanks both of you. i’m not worried about it being a scam. i won the MansionPoker.net PokerDome trip that will be aired on Fox Sports Net @ 11 PM CST on Sunday October 29th. this is week 23 and they’ve made all other travel arrangements for them

Yes, having an electronic ticket/confirmation number is acceptable to fly.I have made reservations on line and gone to the airport with just that number and it was fine. I would, however, call the airline and confirm the reservation. Make sure they have YOUR name and the flight numbers (round trip) departure/arrival times, departure/arrival city, etc are correct. Other than that, check for baggage regulations because they’ve changed and have a great time on your trip! Good Luck!

I work for a major airline and can tell you that an Eticket (electronic ticket) is fine for travel. However, there are a lot of scam artists out there posing as travel agents, so I would recommend, as did the previous person who posted, that you contact the airline directly to confirm with them. You can ask them to send you a receipt directly so you know you’re good to go. Also, make sure you have your photo id and check out the Transportation Security Administration website at tsa.gov for a current listing of what items you are not allowed to bring onboard. Have a great trip!
