any alternatives to Zune Software, or ways to label songs specifically, like when making a mixed album?

any alternatives to Zune Software, or ways to label songs specifically, like when making a mixed album?

I just ripped a cd, and only 3 of the 11 songs had the artist’s name, the others were “unknown artist”. Does anyone know if WMP is usable, and if not can you individually label a song?

I have a Zune, too, but I’m not positive on my theory, so don’t trust me completely. ;-)

First, try right-clicking the album cover in yor library, and hitting “Edit”, or something of the sort. See if you can change the artist. If not, Click the song (with ‘unknown’ artist) and drag it to the correct album. That works for me.

If that doesn’t work, trying ripping the CD again. It’s funny; I’ve never had any problems like that when ripping a Cd.

    Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean. I have a Zune and half the covers are missing. My solution to that was to use a free program called Media Monkey to rip my music and place album covers on all my music. Then I had the Zune software transfer it over to my Zune. Worked like a charm. Good luck with it.

Go to where the music is stored on your computer. This should be in the zune folder located inside your music folder.

Create a folder for the artist and drag the music from the Unknown Artist folder to the one you made with their name. Delete the music from the Unknown Artist folder. Open the Zune program and edit the artist and album information. Try this if using Media Monkey doesn’t work for you.
