Will public schools be consistent in their teaching about Crusades, labelling non-Muslim crusaders as “murderers” who went to a faraway land and killed people just because of their religion?

Direct those questions at the public schools, which use the same logic to label the Christian Crusaders “murderers” using the same logic that Aqap is using now.

Funny that you would quote sources that know nothing of truth and fairness in reporting. Why didn’t you quote the Qu’ran? Specifically the Sura 4:88-89? Or would that truth be damning to your flawed perspective?
While al Qaeda claims the attempted bombing in Detroit was in response to the attacks in Yemen, they fail to point out that the attacks happened AFTER the 17th of December and that the plane ticket purchased by this attempted bomber was purchased on the 17th. Meaning, that he/they’d planned to bomb a U.S. airplane even before the attacks.
You also fail to mention that each of the wars the U.S. is currently involved in in SouthWest Asia (the Middle East) is in direct response to actions by the people of those countries (the unprovoked 9-11 attacks took us to Afghanistan, and Sadam Hussein’s refusal to adhere to the cease fire agreement that ended Desert Shield /Storm — another war he brought upon himself when he invaded Kuwait).
So please, tell us about the “Crusades” and how the evil Christians came and murdered the followers of a false prophet? What does q-t-l (qatala) mean? And explain Mohammad’s use of it in Sura 4:88-89.
