Are copier/scanner rays harmful?
I have a 3-in-1 at home and whenever i turn it on and get it ready to copy/scan, it emits a light blue “laser” that flashes across the screen. i think it sorta irritates my eyes (2/10) if i were to rate how irritating it is. is it more harmful than it looks?

Best answer:

It’s just a very bright light. It’s not a laser. It could dazzle your eyes for a while, and make you see spots, but it can’t blind you permanently, or anything like that. IF it was a laser, it would be required to have the laser warning sticker where you can see it. A real laser, can permanently burn your corneas.
