Best answer:

Is this some sort of accidental damage you caused, or some sort of problem when it was printed? You can ask the consulate that issued it, to reissue. They may charge you for it, depending on what happened to it.

you’ll have to apply for a new one. there really is no such thing as a renewal for B1/B2 visas… once the other one is done, you’ll have to apply for and qualify for the next one.

my mom had her B2 visa page ripped off accidentally by a border official. nothing wrong with the actual visa… just that the page was detached from her passport. it wasn’t her fault either. but the border officials revoked that visa and told her she needs to get a new one (she was allowed entry that day though). so she applied for and got a fresh new visa.

however, if that visa hasn’t been revoked yet, you can still try and use it… although you might not be allowed entry if they can’t read the bar code number.
