bar coding and implementing a system?
bar coding and implementing a system?
I have been assigned to implement a barcode system in the library of an architecture firm. I have no idea how to go about this. I figure that I have to purchase software, a scanner and a barcode printer…or would it be better to order bar codes en mass and scan those directly into the system? Any help would be amazing!!
Best answer:
You are correct, you will need software, a bar-code scanner and a printer. I would look for the software first since it might come with the ability to print the bar-codes. I would print the bar-codes yourself. You can buy inexpensive dedicated label printers (from Dymo for example), or even print them with a normal laser printer onto sheets of label stock.
