Barcode Question?
Okay, so my mother and I both go to the to Dicks sporting goods, but I am the only one with the rewards card. I am asking can I just take the barcode on the back of the card and copie that give it to her and have it work?

Most stores also enter the last 4 digits of the card number from the embossing to make sure the bar code and face of the card match. They wouldn’t be able to do that. Even if they do not do that, if your mom walked in with the back of the card, they clerk would confiscate it because they would assume she had “skimmed” it from a stolen card.
Ask the store for a second card.

    It should work. But why don’t you ask Dick’s?
    Most reward programs can be accessed by telling the number to the clerk or they have the choice to add a card to your account. If your mom goes to the store with a home made bar code and no card, they won’t like it.

    Yes, a copy of the barcode should work, assuming the cashier accepts your copy. Some stores allow customers to just say their phone numbers instead of showing rewards cards. Your mother could do that. Or you could just ask Dick for a duplicate card.
