Barcode software which identifies each client?
Hello, is there a barcode software which will allow me to print receipts with a barcode identifying each client so when scanned, it will pop up their previous order so that I can update their previous order to the current one? Thank you!
Yeah, I could do that but when I scan it I need it to open up that client’s last order. So I need a program that can identify the barcode scanner and open up that client’s last order.

So print their client ID on the receipt as a barcode. What’s the problem?

EDIT: So put a PREFIX in front of the barcode to identify it as being from the barcode scanner, then have that trigger a macro of some sort (AutoKey? something else?) that will switch to that program, then jump to a search field and enter the client ID.

Without knowing WHAT program you’re using to keep the Client Data and what sort of Interface you would accept it’s impossible to give you a simple answer. There’s no such thing as a “barcode software”. When you search for barcode software, you get programs that will PRINT barcode.
