Can a Target e-giftcard be used as a mobile giftcard?
Target now has the feature to turn any giftcard into a mobile giftcard. You can save your giftcards information on their mobile site and have the cashier at a Target store scan a barcode on your phone. The website doesn’t specify if you can do this with a e-giftcard as well though.

The website does specify that e-gift cards can not be used in the Target store. E-gift cards do not come with the same amount of numbers as the store gift cards do, so the phone would not recognize it.
