can I print an iron on transfer on a laser printer even if the pkg says to use ink jet?
can I print an iron on transfer on a laser printer even if the pkg says to use ink jet?
I want to use a laser printer to print out iron on transfers, because the colors are more vibrant-will it affect the heat transfer? Is there any solid reason the ink jet should be used?

Laser printer burns the toner to the paper/medium. Ink jet puts the inks on the paper/medium. You can test it out, but you can’t use laser printer for this.

I think even trying this would be a very, very bad idea.
Your laser printer uses a decent amount of heat – not unlike that coming from an iron – to fuse the toner to the paper. You run the risk of “ironing on” what you are trying to print to the drums and rollers inside your laser printer. Unless it specifically says it works with a laser printer, I wouldn’t try it.

It will melt and ruin your printer.
There is a reason that they say for ink jet use. If they were suitable the makes would say as there would be extra sales in it for them but they know that it will melt in a laser printer, but you can buy ones suitable for lasers and that wont melt.
