can i still return a backpack to macys if i have a receipt but not the barcode?

but basically my mom rippedoff the tag for a backpack she bought me
and i didnt like it. but she still has the receipt
can we get store creditor aanything?
oh yeah thanks. i got paranoid cause my friend told me macys needs that return sticker thing they put on the tag when u buy it

You can usually return things without the tags on them as long as you have the receipt and it’s still in its original condition. Just don’t mention the tag and they probably won’t say anything. If they ask you about it, say that it didn’t have a tag on it when you bought it. Good luck.
