due to the laser that scans the bar codes. Are they harmful if you’re by them all day long…like for a cashier?
radiation-wise…can they cause cancer?

No, they are very low power and moving constantly. Not as bright as a laser pointer. Only if you stopped one and stared into it for a while would there be a risk to vision. No other risks.
