Well I got the LG ally about two weeks ago. I was happy with this phone but now that the droid x is available I will like to exchange it for the droid x. But I already cut off the barcode of the box for the mail in rebate. Will they accept the exchange without the barcode in the box?

Yes you can. You would basically be returning the phone for a full refund. They will charge you a $35 restocking fee and the amount of the refund will be reduced by the amount of the refund. Example; If you paid 200 for the phone and sent off for a $50 rebate, they will deduct 50 from your refund and the 35 restocking fee, so you would get 115.
