You can stop any barcode reader from reading the barcode with a permanent marker.

yea i guess but wal mart has those camera thingys EVERYWHERE!!

if you obscure it – then it can’t be read – sure

then they read the actual numbers under the code – or get a similar item to scan

now – why would you want to obscure a code?
