Can you recommend any adult books for me?

I want to start moving out of the young adult section and reading some good adult books. I only like fiction. I really like fantasy/supernatural stuff/suspense/thriller/crime/etc.

My favorite book of all time is A Dirty Job by Christoper Moore. (I’ve read his other books as well, I dont like any of them as well as ADJ)

I also like
-The Dexter Series
-The Host by Stephine Myer
-Anne Rice books
-Silence of the Lambs
-Wicked
-some Stephen King books

And some of my favorite teen books just so you can get an idea of what I like
(In no real order) and there is a lot more these are just a few that come into my head.
-Dreadful Sorry
-Hero
-Blue Bloods
-The Barcode Tattoo
-Candy
-Magic or Madness
-Harry Potter
-Twilight Series (I know I know! DONT JUDGE ME! lol)

And if you think of any books in general even if they are young adult go ahead and list them anyway! THANKS!

I hear good things about the Millennium trilogy that’s popular right now (the first book is The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo). I enjoyed Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, though it’s slow to get started. The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charmaine Harris is awesome. The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco…Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides (which isn’t really a mystery/thriller/fantasy, but is fantastic and might appeal)…The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams…The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith…Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins.

A YA author you might enjoy is Vivian Vande Velde (Companions of the Night and Dragon Bait were the books I liked by her). Paul Zindel’s a good one (his later ones that deal with the supernatural include Loch and The Doom Stone, but his earlier non-fantasy books like The Pigman are also great). I don’t know if you kids still read Christopher Pike (his books were approaching retro-status when I was reading them in the late-90s), but his are cool – Remember Me is a good place to start.

If you like harry potter, i would strongly recommend the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It mixes greek mythology with the modern world and the you’ll meet characters which may already be familiar to you like medusa, zeus etc.. It’s funny and exciting with lots of action and twists. it tells of a story of a young boy named percy jackson who is a demigod (half-mortal and half-god) and his adventures. I won’t tell you who his god/goddess parent is, so as not to spoil the story for you. :)) This series is really good and i can’t stop thinking about it!! I have just finished the last book last week.! Here are the titles of the books in the series
    1.The Lightning Thief
    2. The Sea of Monsters
    3. The Titan’s Curse
    4. The Battle of the Labyrinth
    5. The Last Olympian
