Can you use a scanner antenna for a handheld CB?

Can you use a scanner antenna for a handheld CB?
I think I want to use a stock rubber duck antenna but it says its specifically designed for some other thing… but it connects with a BNC so can I use it???

The antenna must be a specific length for the CB to work. The rubber duck antenna is made by wrapping a length of wire around a form and covering it with a plastic coating. If the length of wire is not correct for the CB frequencies, it will not work correctly. The power that is broadcast by the radio will be reflected back to the output transistor and will damage it. I would look for an antenna designed to work with the radio.
