Cant get over my Guilty conscience?

i havent ever shoplifted,but today the self-help machine didnt catch my magazines barcode as I scanned it , I began wonder if I should rescan it again ,and tempted not to,until the shop assistant came over and did it for me,I felt SOOOO embarassed and guilty,I couldnt get over it ,am about to hurt myself,
god will you forgive me?

    It’s not like you walked away with it, the clerk scanned it and all is well. I am sure you are not the first person to ever think of it or even do it. I don’t think you are bad, just don’t think about it again, and yes, I am sure God will forgive you, it’s not like you followed through.

    How can you feel guilty over something you didn’t do. I understand feeling guilty about considering it but you DIDN’T DO IT. That’s the main thing. God is merciful and will forgive those who ask for forgiveness and are truly repentant. Go to church make a confession or just pray and ask him yourself whatever just ask. As for hurting yourself, WHY? you didn’t actually commit a crime, you just thought about it. You paid for the magazine and then left. No harm, no foul. Besides if God will forgive a serial killer on death row of his sins, I’m sure He will forgive you the sin of considering but not committing a crime. Besides if that’s the biggest problem in your life then I will gladly trade you!!!!

    Did you asked God to forgive you? If you ask with the pure of your heart, He will.

    Try to not do it again

    and if this doesn’t work, go to the store, with the ticket and say that this item is not on your ticket and you wish to pay for it.
