I. Which feature is characteristic of a guest account?
Guest accounts are typically temporary accounts with very limited privileges to allow someone to do something very specific, and nothing else. So for example, if you set up a guest account to allow someone to check their e-mail, they wouldn’t be able to open a web browser, or play a game, etc.
These are generally considered a ‘bad thing’ in the network security world.
II. Which two methods help protect network cables?
What you’re trying to do is limit physical access to the cable, and prevent people from connecting the cable to unauthorized machines.
III. Disadvantage of installing software and hardware with permissive firewall settings.
Permissive firewall settings allow connections to and from machines on your network by default. That is, if it’s not specifically prohibited, it’s allowed. This is a very bad way to configure a firewall.
The alternative approach is to deny everything except what you expect the systems on your network to need. Anything not expected is blocked. This is much more secure.
Hope this helps :)
