Could this be a real Coach?
Could this be a real Coach?
Ok, so I love Designer products, who doesn’t? The thing is, I don’t love the prices, but to me, if it looks real and as long as it has the name on the inside, I don’t care. I only buy from one person and I bought a Coach bag from her just the other day. I bought it for , knowing it’s a fake. She showed me one of her Coach bags that she said was real because of how well the inside was made, but that bag was too small for me, and she only wanted . I picked out a very nice Coach bag and compared them. The inside looked the same to me. It has the logo and everything. The Coach I bought from her also has a little booklet inside on how to take care of it, etc. What got me was inside was a registration card and a bag (it says Coach on it) that’s made to keep the Coach bag in. It also has a little chrome tag hanging off one of the handles that has coach engraved on it and beside that is a tag with a UPC barcode. I thought it was a fake, but I’m not so sure now. Can anyone help?
I am currently at work, but I will be taking a picture of it and putting it on here. Also to clear up any confusion, I knew I was buying a fake, but I’m wondering if it’s really a fake because I’ve never seen a fake with a registration card before.
UPDATE: I couldn’t figure out how to load up my purse pics on yahoo, so I loaded them up on MySpace. Here’s the link: myspace.com/the1andrea You may have to copy and paste that. My profile is private on there, but just click on my picture and it should take you to the album of my purse pics. Click on the album b/c I took several pics!

if it has a thick, kinda rubbery stitching that clearly says coach…then it is real..but if its not stuck on the inside like real good to the point were u cant pull it off then it is fake…especially if it sales for 70.

I bought a Coach bag too. The magazine tote. I paid $65 for it. I can’t tell the difference. I never call it a fake especially since there is no obvious difference. I say it’s a reproduction. It could be real. You know they steal them and resale them also.

I would have to see a picture because now a days ppl who make those fakes think of everything to make them look like the real thing. Is there any way you can meet this person who is selling it at a Coach store to go see if it’s real? If she refuses to go then there is your answer, it’s a fake! Like why don’t you go on Craigslist and look for the real thing? I would rather have a real used coach handbag then have a fake. Hope this helped and good luck!
oh and 70 dollars is too much for a fake if it is.

Fakes are made to look real. Almost all the bags on Canal Street in NYC come with a tag, bar code, fake serial number on the inside, and the dust bag. Of course you should never pay more than $30 for a fake, no more than $20 if it is an older style.
I didn’t buy any, but most of my friends bought fake bags for $10-$40 in NYC… Coach, Gucci, Fendi, etc. The $40 was for a new style Dior (non-logo style) that was still sold in stores. The average price for a logo bag was about $20-$25, and designer didn’t matter. They all looked real, but obviously the quality isn’t there.
If you took it to a real store, they would tell you in less than a minute whether it was real or fake. I have a friend who works at the Coach store and she said they get fakes brought in all the time.
I wouldn’t worry about it. Enjoy the bag, but in the future, just go for the real thing. Coach is one of the cheapest designer bags. $70 is way too much for a fake. When you buy the real thing, they come with a warranty and the store will help you with any problems you may have.

No,sorry but many fakes these days come with fake registration booklets, dust bags(BTW what color is the dust bag?),creeds and sometimes even receipts,so this does not mean it is real at all. Many of the sellers of fakes will tell you anything, including that it is authentic. Also, the Carly style bags usually have leather hang tags.If you are able to post pics later it will be extra helpful, especially of the stitching, the creed, interior, turn locks(if it has them) and the top of the strap.
