cuecat uses?
i have had mines in a box for years and came across it the other day. are there any uses for it besides what it was orginal made for. i heard it can be used as inventory purposes like for a dvd collection or something along those lines. is there software needed in order for this to do that.

The cuecat is a perfectly fine bar code reader… except that it adds a unique ID to the data that is reads, so in order to make it useful, you have to modify it a little. Search for cuecat in Google or Yahoo! and you’ll find several sites that explain what to do. Note that you have to start by figuring out which version of the cuecat you have: the later ones were made a bit more cheaply and so the process of “fixing” them is slightly different.
