bar code doesnt set off alarm, the white thing sets off alarm and it has silver thing inside it.

bar codes don’t set off alarms. they use electronic chips that send off radio waves that can be picked up by the sensors at the entrance of a store, etc.

Are you talking about the alarms at department store exits etc. No the barcode does not set off the alarm, the barcode is only used to identify the product when paying for it so they dont need to manually type in the name of the item. The alarm is set off by a magnet strip.

No, they don’t.
Most alarms use magnetic strips as their triggers. The bar-codes are just for scanning during the sale of the item.
