Do barcodes on products make the gates beep in stores?
Just wondering at places like target, the products all have barcodes, but none of the little plastic things like at some clothing stores. Does the barcode alone make the gates beep?

    No.

    Often there is a magnetic device in the packaging somewhere. The sensors pick up the change in the magnetic field.
