Do cop scanners work? Is it worth buying one?
You know those devices that you can buy at any Best Buy starting from and up to 0. They claim to protect you from cop lasers and radars and suppose to tell you if there is a cop around. But do they really work? If yes…which ones are the best? And is it worth buying?

Best answer:

yes i have one

A Fuzz Buster? Yeah, they work. But they are against the law. They pick up radio signals that tell you if a cop is radar-ing near by.

I have had a lot experience with them, and the best thing I can tell you is don’t waste your money, stay within the law somewhat.

I HAD A COP SCANNER AND IT DOES WORK SOMETIMES, BUT NOT THREW TOWN. THE SCANNER WILL GO OFF ALOT WHEN NO COP IS AROUND. IT’S GOOD TO HAVE ON THE HIGH WAY

Now days there limited , but if you insist on breaking the law, endandering safty and so . they will work its the isntant on radar thats gets you but if your lucky it will go off on a car in front of you and give you time to get back down to speed

Yes they work very well, till the cop see’s it, then they take it and you get another charge, your best bet is to tag along behind a pro, find a big truck going in your direction and follow him, you can also save a lot of fuel this way
    corky the mopar man

They work great I paid $279.00 for mine at Best Buy and if it was against the law then i should be able to sue Best buy for selling me something illegal.
If a car is ahead of you cop will laser him 1st thus your detector will go off and you will know cop is ahead someplace.
Mine will go off about 3 times farther than what the cops radar or laser will go, I know I used one of those trailer cop thing that shows your speed as a guide (they sit along some highways unattended) this is where you do a quarter mile with your car to see how fast it is)
Anyhow it detected it about 4 miles away while my buddy stood next to the thing and radar did not start recording my speed till I was about 8 tenths of a mile away.
