I work in a prison and the tatt mean they are a product of society. Maybe also could mean that they can be ” bought” for a price. You should look more into that persons character and history when deciding the meaning.

All tattoos have different meanings to the people that have them. Some people get barcodes with the dates of their parents birthdates to symbolize that they are the product of the numbers. Some can be prison, it really varies on what you want it to mean. Don’t just do something because it’s pretty, you might not think so later on. Make sure it’s special to you whatever you do.

been thinking about getting this tat done for along time and to me a barcode tat means that you are pretty much just a number like in prision in guess you could say but in the real world as the goverment has control of us and our lives in so many ways and what this tat represents to me…

I don’t know if there is a meaning to it or not, but I had to say this Lol. There was this stripper that had that tattoo on the back of her neck and I thought that maybe they scanned her neck to figure out what they owed her at the end of the night. LMAO.
