does immigration really check the bar code from your I-20?
does immigration really check the bar code from your I-20?
i am an international student and i am now out of states. the case is i got my I-20, and the travel signature is still valid until december 2006, however, i got suspended from the school, which means the status is changed. If i use this I-20 to pass the immigration, will they check the bar code from it? if so, does it mean i cannot get back into the states? anyone can help?
Best answer:
I think they put it there for a purpose.

Hmmm…
Let’s see…
They have an easy way to check your records, and that’s but putting it through a “barcode” where a laser can easily read it, and pull everything up.
But, you want to know if Immigratiion is too lazy to do even that and just let you pass through willy-nilly.
And you are in college, or were until you got suspended?
If your visa is a student visa, and you are in the country cause you are a student, but now that you aren’t a student… Just pack up.
