Does MAC Cosmetics have barcodes on there stuff?
Because there was this lady yesterday that had like 2 eyeshadows and her little toddler was running out of the store so she chased after him adn she went out of the MAC store but the alarm never went off,do they even have alarms?
No rude comments,And NO i am not trying to steal anything.I have money to buy afford MAC,And if i didnt than i wouldnt be shopping there:)

Barcodes aren’t what makes the alarm go off. Very few things actually go off when they go through the alarms anyway. Produce will not go off, most cosmetics, most school supplies. The reason something goes off when they go through an alarm is because they are magnetized, if you open a DVD case you will see a small white strip in it. That white strip if not demagnetized when it is swiped will make the alarm go off. The clips on clothing, and the spider wrap for big items will also make it go off.
Edit: Also the bar code for a specific item is the same for all of the items that have the same ISBN

Barcodes don’t make the alarms go off, its just the packaging.
