does marking the barcode with a sharpie make it not beep?
Im not trying to steal nothing im doing this for a school project.
If I colored the barcode on a item completely with a sharpie will it still beep on the alarm sensors at like a retail store like walmart?

It disrupts the scanning of the barcode, and therefore it does not beep.
