Does the Trust Bluetooth dongle support multiple devices at the same time?

Does the Trust Ultra Small Bluetooth 2.1 USB Adapter – 25 m (Item number: 16008 – EAN-code: 8713439160086) support multiple devices at the same time? Example: Bluetooth mouse and bluetooth speakers.

If so, do all bluetooth dongles support multiple devices or is this a new technology only used by some brands?

The bluetooth protocol is multi-device, though which devices are supported may depend on the software stack used.

This adapter appears to be supplied with the WIDCOMM 6.0 software stack, one of the two main ones, the other being Bluesoleil.

Sometimes the supplied version may be a little short on device support.

The problem is that device support in bluetooth divides into several profiles, with some implementation supporting only a subset.

Windows (XP and Vista) have somewhat limited bluetooth software stacks of their own, so you would normally choose to install the device using the supplied software, rather than windows native support.
