First American edition of HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone?

First American edition of HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone?

I have a first American edition of the first Harry Potter book. It’s hardback and in fine condition. I read that first editions are worth ,000.

Here are first edition specifications:

number line: 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 [big space] 8 9/9 0/0 01 02
below the number line: ‘Printed in the U.S.A [space] 23 [new line] First American edition, October 1998′.
it doesn’t say “Year 1″ on the spine.
the number above the barcode is 51695
the price is .95
the review on the back is from The Guardian

My copy is identical except the first two numbers on the number line are missing (1 and 3), and the review on the back of my copy is from Publisher’s Weekly.

My question is: is mine a first edition? If not, how much is it worth?
