Fixed Asset Checklist?
I am working for a company for less than 4 months now and I have been given a project to handle their fixed assets.
Here’s the scenario:
a. Straight line depreciation
b. Fixed asset spreadsheet amounts does not have any invoice documentation as far as purchasing the asset.
c. Majority of the assets (90%) are not itemized physically
d. No asset tags!
e. Majority (95%) of the assets were paid by a parent company in 2004 and 2005.
Need help! What to do first?
