If you put your mouse over the barcode, or whatever the new picture is when google does something like that, it explains why its like that, and yesterday it was a bar code because it was the day the barcode was invented

Whenever there is a holiday or a special anniversary, google will decorate itself. Most of the time, you can make out the google letters in the decoration.

For instance, on Thanksgiving, Google had on a turkey, fall leaves, and I think a football. On Christmas I think they had a Christmas Tree and Santa Claus. I remember on Earth Day google was dressed as the earth. Today happens to be the anniversary for the invention of the bar code, so google is a bar code.

Today was the first time I have ever seen google dressed up where you can’t read the “google” letters. I’m sure it has confused a lot fo people.
