Help with a part breakdown of a scanner?
I was asked to find a “part breakdown” of a Symbol (now Motorola) WT4090 Ring Scanner. The boss needs to know the parts so he can purchase them rather than by a new one. I have no idea where to find this, I’ve tried googling it but all I’ve gotten there is just sites selling the actual scanner. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I would suspect that would be near impossible to completely impossible. Any chance to find a parts list for that device would have to be with the manufacturer or an authorized service facility. Problem is that the device is too small for most anyone to care about or bother with repairing, as it would probably be cheaper to simply replace it, so any parts would be very hard to come by except from the manufacturer. So, if it’s under warranty send it in.

Otherwise you’ll need to contact the manufacturer and try to talk them into giving you the parts list, if they have it available, then the problem will be actually finding a place to order the parts from, and again, that would probably be the manufacturer and I don’t know if they’d be willing to sell those parts.
