how can i add a product on amazon without a upc or EAN?

I have got some painting on canvas and i wanna sell them on amazon and I’m a pro merchant but i don’t know how to list them because they don’t have any UPC or EAN.

    Ami,

    Amazon now requires that you have a UPC or EAN number for your products. They do this in order to have a uniform inventory numbering system just like any other retailer out there.

    In the past, Amazon used their own numbering system. Now, they seem to be joining the rest of the retail world in relying on the UPC/EAN barcode system.

    Though, keep in mind that if you do not have Amazon warehouse and simply drop-ship, you do not really need to put barcodes on your products. So, there is no need to go through the expense of redoing all of your packaging. Simply obtaining the UPC or EAN numbers so that Amazon can list you properly should be enough for now.

    However, once you start going through normal retailers, you will need to put the UPC or EAN numbers on your products in form of a barcode.

    That’s just how the system works.
