  those are some big names. you have to build a rep first before they will even look at you. trying working with some indie labels first. or you could just send your demo tape out all over the place.

  if you do though, make sure it only has about three songs on it and that they are of studio quality. they have alot of stuff to look at and only a certain amount of time to do it.

  Demos are good to have when the opportunity arises where you meet a executive at a record label .
  Mailing a demo will end up in the trash because they do not take unsolicited material because of lawsuits .
  Basically record companies do not send record contracts through mail order .
  Also be aware that record companies deal with seasoned professionals that arrange,compose and make their own music .
  Getting a demo from someone who does not know anything about arranging music for piano or guitar is a waste of their time .
  You need to know about music theory,arranging and composing in order to work with real musicians during the recording process .
  Where are your songs going to come from ?
  Are the songs professionally arranged ?
  Do you think songs fall out of the sky and you automatically start singing like people do on the Disney channel ?.
  Try spending some time learning how the music works instead of looking for a deal with a mail order demo .
