    You can’t. The bar code just identifies the product. The computer has a tie between the product and its price.

    I doubt you can. The same can of corn at one store has the same UPC, but they may sell it for a different price. That information is in their cash register computers.

    you cant without out a barcode reader. the numbers are just a refernce to where the product information is stored.

    The price is not in the barcode. It’s just a code for that particular product. The register looks up the price from it’s computer for that product.

    You can’t. The same barcode can have different prices in different shops, so your tin of beans can sell for any price set independently. Some barcodes do include price information, particularly reduced to clear ones, where the price in pence is usually near the end of the number. Depends on the system the shop uses though.a
