How do I connect a scanner to my laptop?
I have a Dell Laser MFP 1815dn scanner/copier/fax that currently is only used for faxing and copying. How do I set up the scanner and my laptop (windows vista) so I can scan things onto my computer? Please explain with as much detail as possible. Thanks.

first if it is already set up, you should be able to use the scanner feature just as you do the coping. Otherwise you will need the cd from the scanner, install it follow directions and plug USB or whatever cable/port your scanner has..
