The only way you can create Barcodes in MS word is by downloading the font. Goto the link below :
dafont.com/search.php?psize=m&q=Barcode
and download the barcode font you like best. Then copy the font file to C:WindowsFonts.
Then it will be available in MS Word and you can create fonts
