How do I disable the fingerprint scanner on my laptop?
How do I disable the fingerprint scanner on my laptop?
I have a Toshiba Satellite Notebook A350 and it has a built in figner print scanner. Everytime I try to log in to either msn or my wireless router it asks me swip my finger and sometimes can cause my internet explorer (firefox and internet explorer) to crash. I’ve tried disabling this by unchecking the box “Replace windows password log on with fingerprint log on” but this has made no difference. The manager for the fingerprint scanner is Truesuite Access Manager Fingerprint Software. How can I disable the scanner?
I just tried disabling it in BIOS but there is not option for it.
I’m using Windows Vista 32-bit if that’s any help.
Best answer:
you can disable it in the bios. when the computer turns on, hit F1. then navigate to the integrated devices, there will be an option to enable or disable the finger print scanner there.
We have 5 of these at work and I have had to disable all of them.
Hope this helps
