How do I track my CD sales?

How do I track my CD sales?

Please read all. I’ve visited Nielsen SoundScan’s website and all it talks about is “REGISTERING” a UPC barcode so that you can track. But It doesn’t say how to actually go back and track it. Where exactly can I go, type in the UPC barcode number and get results of CD sales?

You need to subscribe to Nielsen SoundScan. If you already did that, here is how it works…

Nielsen SoundScan is an information system that tracks sales of music and music video products throughout the United States. Sales Data from point-of-sale cash registers is collected weekly from over 14,000 retail, mass-merchant and non-traditional (on-line stores, venues, etc.) outlets. Weekly data is compiled and made available to subscribers every Wednesday.

Hope that helps! If you’re looking for a data acquisition software, which should track your own sales. Google it!
