How do product barcodes actually work?
I never understood how a computer could just scan a few black lines.
Best answer:
a laser shoots a bar across yhe lines of a bar code and the black breaks up that line, acording to the number of spaces and width of the returning laser it tells the computer which item has been scanned,

They actually mean something. Go into Microsoft word and switch the font to barcode and you’ll see what I mean.

the ammount out time between the bars is recorded its hard to read but when you buy it its is able to go threw the scanner
