How do you fix the OCR so I can scan documents?
I already reinstalled the files from the CD I got with the printer, but when I scan it still cannot find the OCR (converts the scan to text). I even tried to open the OCR from the disk but that didn’t work either.

Not all printers are the same. You need to follow the instructions for your specific model when installing it.
