How do you insert an address zipcode barcode in a Microsoft Works Word document? ?
I could do this in Word Perfect but I don’t see how to do it in Microsoft Works Word. Does the software support zip code bar codes? Thank you.

I’m guessing you didn’t check Word’s Help facility…
Field codes: BarCode field
Show All
Hide All
{ BARCODE \u “LiteralText” or Bookmark \b [Switches ] }
Inserts a postal bar code, which is a machine-readable form of address used by the U.S. Postal Service. The BARCODE field (field: A set of codes that instructs Microsoft Word to insert text, graphics, page numbers, and other material into a document automatically. For example, the DATE field inserts the current date.) can insert either a POSTNET delivery-point bar code or a Facing Identification Mark, or FIM.
It’s easiest to insert postal bar codes with the Envelopes and Labels command (Tools menu, Letters and Mailings submenu).
Instructions
“LiteralText” or Bookmark
Delivery address and ZIP Code. When followed by the \b switch, a bookmark (bookmark: A location or selection of text in a file that you name for reference purposes. Bookmarks identify a location within your file that you can later refer or link to.) can replace LiteralText. For example, the bookmark “ENV_ZIPCODE1″ represents the address in the active document (active document: The document in which you’re working. Text you type or graphics you insert in Microsoft Word appear in the active document. The title bar of the active document is highlighted.); it’s inserted by the Envelopes and Labels command (Tools menu, Letters and Mailings submenu). LiteralText can also be the result of a nested field.

Sorry, but it looks like Works Word Processor doesn’t have ZIPcode barcodes. It’s never been touted as a full-featured word processor.
If it’s any consolation, its presence on your machine qualifies you to buy and install the Upgrade version of MS Office instead of the full-priced version.
Check out this URL for details:

Note that the higher of the two prices quoted is for a full version of that program and the lower, for upgrades from existing software.
Hope that helps.
