How do you know which cold air intake are legal and illegal?
I just brought a obx cold air intake for my car and one of my friend told me that it is illegal because it doesn’t have any barcode number on it and i was just wondering how do you know if it is illegal. Thanks

lol…ur friend is an idiot, u should kick him in the nuts. if you bought an illegal intake, they first off would not sell it to you (knowing it was for a street car) let alone installing it (i’m assuming its been installed). Cold air intakes are not really anything that usually are labeled as “illegal”. usually things labeled illegal typically include: lighting, ride height, big performance adders (turbo, supercharger, exhaust…etc)
hope that helps…im guessin your friend is jealous and/or scared of your new intake to make up some bs bout a bar code

he must suspect that without a bar code, it must be counterfeited, or stolen. but theres no evidence, im assuming, of that..as previously stated, all intakes are legal. its just a device to channel air into the intake manifold. you could make one, theoretically, out of cardboard and it would be legal.
