Figure out what your time is worth. ($20 an hour? $30 an hour? $40 an hour?) Then figure out how long it will take you to design the label. Include in that all the customer interaction, the redesign or tweaking of the design, etc.
Multiply your hourly rate–your value per hour–times the time it’ll take you. Let’s say you think your time’s worth $25 an hour. And let’s say it’ll take you 4 hours to meet with the client, come up with some comps, then develop a final design based on those comps, show to the client, tweak the final design, and deliver it. So, in that case, charge no less than $100 (4 hours times $25).
You should also add some of your overhead costs to all of your jobs, too. And take into consideration the going rate by other designers.
The biggest mistake freelancers make is underpricing their services. Be sure to charge what you’re worth.
Hope that helps.

Design one and copywrite it and then get a solicitor to draw up a standard contract for those whom use your design, and patent it also!
