how to curl hair that is above shoulder length?

my hair is short (the longest bit is shoulder length. it is layerd and the shortest layer is above the ear. i h8 it. but i want a new look. how can i curl it. and if i cant wat can i do with it to make it look super cute. im dyein it a dark brwn to blk soon and gtin a side fringe any advise??
please send pics aswell xx

    okay since ur hair is kinda short u dont want to use a small barreled curling iron u want 2 use a medium sized one because if the curls are really small they will bounce up and be like 4 inches long and idt thats wht u want so a big curling iron will add like a wave in ur hair…hope this helps!

    my hair is that length too and when i curl mine i would just do it the same as when my hair was longer! but with the short layers back combed ! ino it sounds weird but its actually nice! or maybe you should try scrunching it with hair mousse!

    use a tiny, small sized curling iron that gives tiny curls. Then stretch out the curls a little so it’ll be a little longer

    Honestly, if I were you I would not curl it.
    Curling your hair will only make it look shorter.
    Depending on what your current hair color is,
    you might want to change your look that way.

    For example, if your hair is already kinda dark (brown) then you might
    want to think about going dark blonde or even light blonde.
    Maybe even red or some totally out there color.

    I think that short, hot pink hair looks really good on some people.

    You could try spiking it up with hair glue or even buy a texturizing paste (Garnier Fructis surf hair wax is real nice) and play around with your hair until you get a new style.

    If you really want to curl it I would suggest doing super small curls,
    so try using a half inch barrel iron. Those will give you super small
    cork screw curls.

    If you can, you can also put in super small braids before you sleep
    and take them out in the morning, that will give you a natural looking, soft wave.

    You could also try buying lots of little bows and clips.
    You could even put a flower in your hair.

    I know it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot to do with your hair,
    but you should play around with it and see what you like.

    I can add a pony tail to your hair dark brown but i was trying to save a little money by not trying to go to a high salon but if you send me a pic of you hair i know for sure i can help you out and where are you located?
