How to make a fake bar code scanner beep?
How to make a fake bar code scanner beep?
My little sister like to “scan” things with bar codes at stores, and I was wondering how I could make a beeping sound using electronic components. I have one of her old toys that broke and I hooked up an LED and 9v battery to it, but how could I add a beeping sound? I hope this makes sense. Thanks!
Best answer:
Maybe you could open up one of those baby cell phone toys and put the part that beeps inside, and the button that makes it beep outside, so she can press it.

go to your local Radio Shack, find a techie salesperson they can lead to a cheap beeper circuit.
