I usually just rip it off and use some sticky tape or blue-tack to take off the residue.

If it is hard to remove, try using a hair dry…It will melt the glue.

best way to go is GOO GONE for most items but clothing,it is oily so you may get an oily spot to replace the sticky stuff..

Adhesives are easy to remove when fresh but become more difficult as time passes, especially if put into a hot dryer.
First, try soaking the area with warm vinegar. Let sit, blot with a clean cloth and rinse with water.
Next, try acetone or nail polish remover. Dab with a clean cloth and gently rub inwards. Rinse thoroughly. (Test first on an inconspicuous area-it may bleed the color.)
Goo Gone will also work, if you have an oily spot after the goo gone has been washed . put some dawn dish soap on it and it will come out.
If none of this works for you Dry cleaning will work
Good Luck
