i looked at a bracode scanner so will my eyes be ok?
ok so at work i was stacking shelf’s and there was a barcode scanner on his desk that kept moving around. The bell for where i worked kept going off so i looked up a lot to see who it was but the scanner was in my sight. I looked at it at first but then i just avoided it as best i could. It still was in my sight of view as he kept using it. So will my eyes be ok? I didn’t try and look at it but i did a bit and im worried. I thought that cos i work the scanner would be safe. It was one that sits up and you just swipe in front of it. Will i be ok? Right now my right eye is a bit strained is that related or cos im tired and on the comp? thanks

You should be fine as long as you don’t look into it directly. Problems do arise if you do continue looking into it. This is usually retina damage if you do. Doing it once or twice should be fine(few people do damage first time though) but try to avoid it going into your eyes.

You should be ok.
From personal experience, I can say that you can look at it for less than 20 minutes.
After that you start to see green spots and you will have a headache that won’t go away for a day.
Looking at it for a couple of seconds won’t do any harm.
